No Plans, No Subscriptions: Momor Now Runs on Prepaid Credits
The Momor Team · Oct 21, 2026 · 3 min read
In May, Momor stopped counting searches and started charging what each one actually cost, through a credit wallet. That left plans and subscriptions sitting on top of the wallet, doing very little. They are gone now. Momor runs on prepaid credits alone.
Highlights
- Subscriptions, tiers and plan credits removed
- New Search accounts and Workflow and Gateway organizations start with $25 in credits
- Top up when you want, or let Momor top up for you
- Your balance reads in dollars
- Each account pays from its own credits
Nothing to choose, nothing renews
There is no plan to pick and none to cancel. You pay for what you use: each search costs the price of the model for the text it reads and writes, taken from your balance. Every new Search account, Workflow organization and Gateway organization starts with $25 in credits, which expire on the date shown when they are granted. Credits you buy may expire if they are still unused 12 months after purchase.
Top up, or turn on auto top-up
Add $10, $25, $50 or $100 by card whenever you like. Or choose a threshold and an amount in Settings, and when your balance drops below the threshold Momor charges your saved card for that amount. If an automatic charge is declined, you get one email, and Momor does not keep retrying the card. Each purchase carries a 5.5% service fee, with a minimum of $0.80.
Dollars, and one wallet per account
Your balance is shown in dollars, and Momor keeps every amount to the millionth of a dollar, so small searches are charged what they cost rather than rounded up. Your Search account, a Workflow organization and a Gateway organization each have their own credits and billing, even when one person holds all three.
Why This Matters
A plan asks you to guess your usage in advance and pay for the guess. Prepaid credits ask nothing: start with $25, see what each search costs, and add more only when you want to.
What this means for you: no subscription to manage, a balance you can read in dollars, and an automatic top-up if you would rather never think about it.
