See how every portfolio company operates.

Where value is being created, where risk is accumulating, and what changed since the last board pack.

The work

Portfolio companies report in different formats, late, from different systems.

Each month, the operating team chases six or more management teams for numbers, receives spreadsheets, PDFs and emails in different shapes, rebuilds them into one view, and asks follow-up questions about anything odd. By the time the picture is ready it is out of date.

The monthly close, across six companies

Day one: each company is asked for its pack.

Four arrive on time. Two get an automatic reminder after three days, recorded on their tiles.

Every pack is read and put into the fund’s terms.

Spreadsheets, scanned PDFs and emails each go to a model suited to them, chosen through Gateway.

A margin drops, and the reason is found.

Gross margin is down four points at one company. Its own narrative explains why, and Momor shows it next to the number.
